Now with vertically and cross method ,  we can write the answer straight away.
Always remember the symbol of vertical and cross method (I X I).

    

                               I   means   Multiply Left hand Side nos.  2 x 3 = 6

                              X   means   Multiply 2 &2 = 4 and 3 & 1 =3 and then add the result 4 + 3 = 7

                               I   means   Multiply Right Hand Side nos. 2 x 1 =2
